The slow recognition of single mothers. Today in France, a quarter of families are headed by a single parent.

In 83% of cases, it is a mother. On March 8, on the occasion of International Women's Rights Day, several deputies from different political parties presented a bill before an assembly of single-parent mothers. The objective: to create a “single parent status” and ensure their rights. A ‘single-parent family’ card, which would give the right to reductions for transport or leisure, is also being studied.
