Spotify's new policy: not paying royalties for songs with fewer than 1,000 views in a year. Universal Music and Warner in France have adopted a new model, initially proposed by Deezer, where royalties will only be paid to songs with a minimum of monthly reproductions and by at least 500 different users. In addition, tracks considered “noise” will be eliminated.
