Almost 50 divers and signalmen from the Erding, Freising, Ebersberg and Neuburg/Do district associations took part in the event. Course leader Michael Pulczynski, an experienced instructor in the “Diving” teaching group in the Upper Bavaria district association, conducted his 40th course.
A water rescue vehicle was called to provide first aid to a medical emergency shortly after taking off from Erding. After being handed over to the emergency services, they were able to continue their journey.
