The 164 Member States meet in Abu Dhabi for the survival of multilateralism in the face of multiple tensions. Despite the headwinds blowing at the thirteenth ministerial meeting of the World Trade Organization, its director general, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is hoping for tangible results.

“ It is now up to you to reach consensus on decisions aimed at building a better future for global trade,” declared the Nigerian leader at the opening of the conference, in the presence of the United Arab Emirates.
