Manuel Guerrero Aviña was arrested on February 4 after being the victim of a scam while using the dating application Grinder. He has been detained in the Middle Eastern nation for more than a month and lives with HIV.
According to reports, Qatar police created a fake profile on the Grindr platform to take Guerrero on a fake date and arrest him. He said his brother has suffered further acts of repression as a result of the global campaign on his behalf. The only acceptable response is for Manuel to be repatriated.
