Thieves steal rescue spreaders from the volunteer fire department. The spreaders are used, for example, to free people who are trapped from cars and trucks after accidents.
To do this, roofs or doors on vehicles are cut open. The special devices are also used by criminals as burglary tools. Police estimate the damage caused to the loot at 10,000 euros, and the damage to the equipment shed amounts to 1,000 euro.
