The city of Miami Beach has announced new measures to prevent excesses during Spring Break. Curfews, security searches and random road checks are among the measures.

The city has also announced a flat rate for parking in the city's parking garages for non-residents. "It is time to move on," the city says in a video message to its residents and visitors to the city. "We are a law and order city and we will enforce our laws year-round, including during spring break," it adds.
