TikTok is testing exclusive “Sub Space” for more intensive interaction. This space is intended to give LIVE creators the opportunity to communicate with their subscribers on a more intimate level.

The launch of this feature comes at a time when TikTok is looking to expand its LIVE offerings and potentially compete with Twitch, particularly in the gaming creative space. TikTok previously launched a pilot program that allows access to the LIVE Studio desktop streaming software to gamers with fewer than 1,000 followers. This could be a strategy to attract live streamers from platforms like Twitch and YouTube to TikTok.
