Snow has been falling in abundance since Monday evening in the Pyrenees. Significant falls of snow are forecast until Wednesday, with a rain-snow limit established at 700 meters above sea level.

Snowplows are working to reopen the Mourtis resort as soon as possible thanks to the snowfall so awaited by professionals and skiers. By Wednesday, nearly a meter of fresh snow should fall above 1,800m where the wind is strong at altitude. The Peyragudes resort has already accumulated 30 centimeters of snow covering the ski area.
