Hundreds of Ile-de-France residents have been chosen to take on the role of replacement for the flame with five rings. Nicolas Muller, director of the primary school of Monchy-Saint-Éloi (Oise), had dreamed of it since his adolescence.
“It was great, all these people, this fervor, the parade, the white overalls of the torchbearers… This is what gave birth to my Olympic passion,” rewinds the forty-year-old.
