A 70-year-old man set himself on fire Thursday evening in front of the Toulouse courthouse. The fire was “quickly put out’ by court security personnel, before the firefighters arrived.
He was hospitalized “as an absolute emergency” after being taken care of. The reasons for his action are currently unknown. The tragedy took place right in the middle of the historic center of Toulouses, Allée Jules-Guesde. The man was transported to the Rangueil hospital center for medical treatment.
