Two people seriously injured during tree felling work in Rhineland-Palatinate. First, a man was trapped under a tree in Neustadt (Wied) around midday.
Man was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Around two hours later, another man was also seriously injured while felling trees in a forest in Krautscheid. The fire department freed the man and he was take to the hospital in a rescue helicopter. The man was reportedly trapped by the root of a tree.
