Colombia beat Israel 1-2 in the Under-20 World Cup in Argentina. A goal by captain Gustavo Puerta in the 90th minute sealed the triumph of the South Americans.

Oscar Cortés was responsible for equalizing the game by finishing a penalty well sanctioned by the referee of the match after going to the VAR. The match had a tense moment when some spectators unfurled a Palestinian flag and were apprehended by the police. The South Americans climbed to the first place of a group also composed of Senegal and Japan.
