Udine city council rejects citizenship in Maignan. 3/4 councilors were needed, right-wing minority proposed.
AC Milan goalkeeper was offended with racist insults during the match against Udinese in Friuli on 20 January. The centre-right minority instead voted unanimously against the proposal of mayor Alberto Felice De Toni, head of a centre-left administration. The votes of the majority alone were not sufficient but three-quarters of the votes of a councilor were needed.
