In recent weeks, Ukraine has heavily targeted Russian oil infrastructure, striking refineries across European Russia. The governor of the border province of Belgorod, which has suffered near constant attacks in recent months, said five people, including a child, were injured in a drone attack on a car traveling near the Ukrainian border.
