Heavy goods traffic is rolling over the only floodlit area in Aßlingen. Construction work on a separation canal system for rainwater and dirty water has picked up speed.
Town hall did not want to risk the expensive canal construction site suddenly coming to a standstill because of this. Mayor Hans Fent promises that the sports field will be repaired after the construction site is over. But there are very few who don't go along with it, says the community's manager Wilfried Graupe.
