Unemployment increased slightly in Brandenburg. 85,171 people were registered as unemployed in the state in February.
That was 353 more than in January, as the responsible regional directorate of the Federal Employment Agency announced on Thursday. The unemployment rate was therefore 6.4 percent. Compared to the same time last year, the number of unemployed rose by 3,783; the rate at that time was 6.3 percent. For the statistics, the Federal Agency used data that was available up to February 14th.
