Unemployment in Saxony-Anhalt fell slightly in February. Number of unemployed was 87,588, 548 or 0.6 percent lower than in January.
The unemployment rate was 8.0 percent, compared to 7.8 percent in the same month last year. Nationwide, the number of unemployed people rose by around 8,000 to 2.814 million people in February compared to the previous month. The proportion of long-term unemployed people out of all unemployed people in the country was 37.3 percent.
