Unemployment stable at 7.2% in January - Istat - Business. The number of unemployed people in Italy fell by 4,000 on December, dropping to 1,838,000.
The proportion of working-age people who are not active on the labor market increased by 0.2 of a point to 33.3%, following a61,000 rise in the number of the 'inactive', Istat said. The employment rate had fallen by0.1 of a percentage point to 61.8%.
