Warning strike at Hanover and Bremen airports on Thursday. Air passengers have to be prepared for flight cancellations and delays.

Verdi is negotiating nationwide with the Federal Association of Aviation Security Companies (BDLS) on behalf of around 25,000 industry employees. The union is demanding, among other things, 2.80 euros more wages per hour for employees. So far there has been no agreement in three rounds of negotiations. Further discussions are planned for next week. “Our goal is to sustainably compensate for the employees’ loss of purchasing power,” said Verdi negotiator Wolfgang Pieper.
