Wave of bankruptcies: Over 20,000 bankruptcies are expected in 2024. The USA, Spain and the Netherlands are particularly affected.
An estimated 205,000 jobs will be threatened or lost due to company insolvencies in 2023. The number of company bankruptcies in Germany to rise to around 20,260 cases this year. An increase in insolvency figures is also expected worldwide. The Allianz Trade economists are not only predicting a wave of bankruptcy in Germany: worldwide, they expect an increase of nine percent in the number of cases.
