The union is calling for an hourly wage increase of 2.80 euros over a period of twelve months. “The employers recently presented an improved but still inadequate offer. We can’t get together like that,” said Verdi negotiator Wolfgang Pieper. With currently 16 waves of strikes in six tariff areas, the number of strikes this year already exceeds the level of previous years, criticized the Federal Association of the German Aviation Industry.
