The ministerial committee on the cost of living will meet for the first time since the outbreak of the war. The last meeting of the committee was in September.

This time it comes precisely after 14 major manufacturers have raised prices since the beginning of the year. Economy Minister Nir Barkat threatened the companies that raised prices, that if they did not cancel the move, the ministry would conduct "regulatory harassment" and public shaming by putting them on a blacklist. Following Barkat's announcement, Salty Shamir decided to cancel the price increase of its products.
