The arrival of the supermetro led to the transformation of many neighborhoods in Île-de-France. Green roof, green wall, plantings in the ground where possible… the Grand Paris Express stations will integrate more greenery into already very dense spaces.

These stations will transform urban landscapes. However, since the start of the projects, particularly with the Covid-19 pandemic, the place devoted to nature in the city has been reviewed. “We have evolved a lot in recent years in terms of environmental criteria,” says Georgina Mendès, responsible for public spaces and station areas at the Société du Grand Paris.
