A "modified" mention will appear, so that recipients are notified. This feature already exists for iPhone users who, since June 2022, can edit their iMessages with the iOS 16 update. On the social media side, Twitter Blue subscribers can edits their tweets up to thirty minutes after publication. But they will not be able to see the original message.
