The National Agency for Secure Titles estimates that the times for obtaining an identity document have returned to normal. It will now take “on average 18 days to obtain an appointment at the town hall then two to three weeks to produce the identity document,” says Anne-Gaëlle Baudouin.
To renew your identity document, it is strongly recommended to complete a pre-request online on the France Titles website. You will then need to provide several pieces of information. Namely, the reason for renewal (loss, theft, expiry date of the card, etc.), your marital status, information on your parentage.
