Andreas Gabalier and Nicole Schmidhofer want to set a world record in Lapland in the Arctic Circle. The two are expected to break speeds of almost 100 km/h on ice skates - powered by twelve battery-operated leaf blowers.

A team of experts from Austria is also traveling to take a close look at the 1.2 kilometer long ice rink so that not a single unevenness remains that could lead to a fall. It is not yet clear whether Gabaliers will ultimately carry the equipment and carry out the experiment.
