Woidke: Tesla should address citizens' concerns. Tesla wants to build a freight yard, warehouses and a company kindergarten on around 170 hectares.
To achieve this, more than 100 hectares of forest will be cleared. In a citizen survey, around two thirds voted against these plans. The local council still has to approve the development plan. The settlement is currently the largest industrial company in Brandenburg with around 12,500 employees. The survey is not binding, but is considered an important signal.
