Woman opens fire at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. Two off-duty police officers shot down the attacker, who was accompanied by a five-year-old child.

The congregation, led by well-known pastor Joel Osteen, is the third largest megachurch in the United States. Pastor Osteen stated that the shooting could have been much worse if it had occurred during the 11:00 a.m. main service, which is usually the busiest time. The woman was killed, while the child and another man were injured.
