[HIGHLIGHTS] World War II bomb stolen on Rügen shortly before defusing – unknown persons in mortal danger

Grenade stolen before it was to be defused on Rügen. Police warn of danger to life if handled improperly.

Unexploded ordnance was stolen south of the grounds of the Ostseeblick caravan camp in Dranske. Information can be reported to the police in Sassnitz at the telephone number 038392307224. In April, a British aerial bomb was found in a community in Lower Saxony. Around 500 people had to be evacuated for this purpose.
