Google says it has no plans to delete accounts with YouTube videos. Rene Ritchie was arrested in recent days after Google announced it wanted to remove inactive YouTube accounts.
The one who posted the first YouTube video 18 years ago has not published any other video since and has never reconnected (despite his 3.58 million subscribers) Google's new policy provides that from December 2023, any account that has been inactive for more than two years will be automatically deleted... except those hosting videos on YouTube.
