The organizing committee of the Bali Beach Games 2023 announced the removal of 3-on-3 basketball, in which an Israeli team was supposed to participate. Indonesian officials issued a series of statements that they would not allow Israel to enter the country and take part in the event.
The event is scheduled to open on August 5 in Bali and will be attended by 1600 athletes from 130 countries. This is the second time the event will ever be held, after Qatar was the first to host the Beach Games in 2019.
