The Paralympic Committee and the Association for Disabled Sports announced the outstanding athletes for 2023. The athlete of the year, for the second time in a row, is Ami Dedown from Ilan Haifa.
Dedown returned from the World Championships in Manchester with four gold medals and a new world record. Yulia Chernoi, who was the first of all the athletes to secure her place in Paris, won a gold medal and a bronze medal. The award for the young sportsman named Barak Lufen was given to kayaker Adi Ezra from the Jordan Valley Club.
