Shai Kenpo was a police officer in the Israel Police and a resident of Beer Sheva. Kenpo fell while performing his duties while guarding the revelers at the nature party in Kibbutz Ra'im and left behind a wife, Sapir and three small children.
Before the match against Maccabi Haifa, fans made a moving tribute to his memory by waving a decoration with his portrait in the south stand at Turner Stadium. Oren Ozan, his friend, wrote: "May your soul be bundled in the bundle of life, dear Sheika, a legend of the stadium for everything and anything"
