FC Bayern apparently have “very good chances” of signing Alonso. Zinedine Zidane seems to be a contender.
Sebastian Hoeneß is also under discussion. Xabi Alonso is also considered a possible successor to Jürgen Klopp at his former club Liverpool FC. The Spaniard would inherit a difficult legacy there, but would probably have the necessary time to rebuild. Winning the English championship would not be a compulsory task. Is Liverpool the more attractive option at the moment? (jsk)
