Real Madrid announces the departure of Karim Benzema. The French striker will not extend his contract which expires on June 30.
Benzema is expected to receive a standing ovation from the Santiago Bernabeu stadium on Sunday. The 35-year-old spent 14 seasons in the Madrid club's starting line-up and won the Ballon d'Or in 2012. The last La Liga match of the season is against Athletic Club on Sunday (18:30) in the Bernabéu.
