FC Porto won the 19th Portuguese Cup in its history by beating Sporting Braga (2-0) in the final played on Sunday at the Jamor National Stadium, near Lisbon. The Dragons added the first double of cups in their history to their record after winning the Portuguese League Cup in January against Sporting Portugal.

In the league, Porto finished in second position, two points behind Benfica Lisbon, crowned champions of Portugal for the 38th time in their History. The team coached by Sergio Conceiçao failed to achieve the cup-championship double as it had managed to do in the previous year.
