Former Bayern scare: Portuguese coaching legend dies after a serious illness. Artur Jorge Braga de Melo, as his full name was, played 16 times for the national team and was the Portuguese coach in the 90s.

As a player he was active for FC Porto, Académica de Coimbra, SL Benfica and CF Belenenses. In 1978 he ended his career and moved to the sidelines as a coach. He was also the national coach of Switzerland, Cameroon and Portugal.
