Torrential rains led to flooding in northern Italy, including the town of Imola where the Grand Prix was to be held. The various teams had to evacuate the scene.
Formula 1 did not want to "put more pressure on local authorities and emergency services in these difficult times" No information has been communicated about a possible postponement, or a possible removal of the Grand GP from the 2023 calendar. The drivers are expected the following weekend in Monaco, then the next weekend in Barcelona for the Spanish Grand Prix.
