Logan Sargeant crashed at more than 200 km/h during the first free practice session for the Japanese Grand Prix. The American driver was the victim of an impressive off-track crash.

The chassis was not too badly affected, certain parts of the car broke and Sergeant had to give up taking part in the second practice session. The first session was dominated by Max Verstappen (Red Bull) and Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) The second session will take place on Saturday morning.
