Red Bull's Max Verstappen was forced to retire in the third round of the Australian Grand Prix. The Dutchman had been on pole for the 35th time in his career.

But he was unable to overtake Carlos Sainz, who won the race for Ferrari. It is the first time in two years that Red Bull have been beaten by a team other than Red Bull in the opening two rounds of the season. The result means Red Bull are not unbeatable for the rest of the campaign.
