Sharon Kantor, 20, from the Emek Hefer trawler sailing club, won the silver medal at the European Windsurfing Championships on Sunday. Cantor led for most of the championships, earned her direct ticket to the final and essentially secured herself a medal yesterday.
Kantor wasn't the only Israeli to qualify for the medal rounds. Tamar Steinberg, the youngest Israeli competitor, won bronze in the under-21 category, while Kati Spychkov finished in tenth place.
