Former winger Robert Reid, 68, died Monday of cancer. Reid wore the Texan jersey for ten seasons, participating in two finals in particular.

Reid allowed the franchise to reach its first NBA finals in 1981 before returning there in 1986. Both times, the Rockets came up against the Boston Celtics of Larry Bird and all his band. “I will never forget the Rockets teams he was a part of in the 80s, which made the finals, and the love he had for the sport. Robert's absence will be deeply felt and we will remember him fondly,” said Rockets owner Tilman Dertitta.
