Embiid grew up in Cameroon, where basketball is not as popular as football. The Philadelphia Sixers superstar is a big fan of the sport, so much so that he prefers playing it instead of basketball.
"I watch soccer because I love it, and I grew up watching it. I think I also love soccer because it's a dream I've never been able to fulfill. I want to feel what it's like," he said in an interview with the Men in Blazers podcast in the U.S.
