Maccabi Tel Aviv and the Football Association have restarted the process of making Enric Saborit an Israeli citizen. The Ministry of Culture and Sport joined the request with the understanding that the player can help the Israeli national team already in the Euro 2024 qualifying tournament.
Savorit wants to stay in Israel and play for the national team, as Miguel Vitor does. He helped the Yellows win two consecutive championships and then the State Cup. He is due to sign a three-year contract with the Yellow Jackets soon.
