Paper Trophy won from start to finish in the Prix Sagaro at Val d'Or. Jockey Tony Piccone won the 50th Quinté of his career.
Turiana (n°9) was the only one able to gain ground in the straight. Big favorite Winterland was never able to play a useful role after waiting in the second part of the peloton. Cuncerto fought in vain for a better ranking and had to settle for fourth place ahead of Canouann.
