Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina have won the last four Grand Slam tournaments. They occupy three of the top four places in the world rankings.

Serena Williams and her immense record of 23 Grand Slam titles (the last in 2017) gone. Australia's Ashleigh Barty (3 Grand Slams), Romania's Simona Halep (2 GC) or Japan's Naomi Osaka (4 GC) seemed to have the profile but the first is retired, the second in the infirmary and the third on maternity break.
