Widow Heidi invited around 100 friends and companions to the private funeral service for her husband in the ballroom of the Munich luxury hotel Four Seasons Kempinski on Thursday morning. Security guards with buttons in their ears stood in the lobby and in front of the “Maximilian” ballroom. There were also on the guest list: ex-Bayern boss Karl-Heinzmen, former CFO Michael Diederich and football legends.
