Earl Corton, two-time NBA champion, passed away yesterday (Sunday) at the age of 66. Corton played 12 seasons in the NBA, won championships with the Philadelphia Sixers (1983) and Houston Rockets (1994) After retirement, he worked as a basketball commentator for ESPN, mostly in college games.

Born in Detroit, Corton remained loyal to his hometown throughout his life, dedicating his service to local sports until his death. "He represented our franchise with great passion and enjoyed working to give back and improve the lives of the people in the city he loved so much," the Pistons wrote in parting with Corton.
