Sergio Rico fell off a horse while riding and is in critical condition in hospital, according to Spanish media reports. The Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper reportedly went riding his horse Sunday morning in the southern Spanish town of El Rocío but fell and sustained a serious head injury.
He was rushed to a hospital in Seville and underwent intubation, a familiar operation of inserting a plastic tube into the windpipe to ensure air passage. Rico was still on the bench yesterday as PSG drew 1-1 away to Strasbourg to secure the title.
